Equitable representation across all levels of City government strengthens the city by increasing efficiency, excellence, and strong delivery of City services; increasing the economic security of previously excluded professionals and their families; growing a diverse middle class; enhancing trust in government with a workforce that reflects the community it serves; and creating a pipeline of young leaders to join New York City government.
